The Atlanta Concert Ringers, Inc. (ACR) is an organization dedicated to the art of English Handbell Ringing. This diverse group is made up of experienced ringers from throughout the Atlanta Metropolitan area and include a church musician, five educators, one statistician, a human resources manager, a paralegal assistant, a stay-at-home mom, two information technologists, and two neuro-science graduates, one of whom is a post-doctoral student who studies fruit flies. The group has been privileged to work with such notable handbell clinicians as Michael Helman and David Davidson. Founded in 2002, the ACR has participated as a featured performance group in arts festivals at a number of churches and also festivals sponsored by the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR). Their repertoire includes high-level sacred and secular music, both whimsical and serious, demonstrating the many techniques used in this unique art form. We honored our Veterans in 2005 with a concert of patriotic music at St. Mark UMC the weekend of Veteran's Day. It was ACR's way of saying Thanks and to ring our patriotic pride.
